Book fair: reading through virtual reality headset in the future?

From March 9th to 13th, the book fair took place in Brussels (Tour & Taxis).

If the exhibition was expected for a “more mature audience” (taking into consideration that reading is not really the favorite activity of young people 🙂 ) notice is to be made that it was also the opportunity for a family outing; thus the involvement and the awareness of young people to new ways of reading.

Gear VR, one of the virtual reality headset available on the market was developed in collaboration with Samsung by Oculus, a company which already owns its own headset.

The idea of Samsung and Oculus being together, is to enable people to read books or texts, watch video or listen to music with a smartphone, among all the advanced features.

And you, are you willing to read on a virtual reality headset? Totally crazy or completely original? 😉

  1. Totally crazy! Reading on a computer is already a daunting task so I can’t even imagine that.
But watching a film would certainly be a tremendous experience.
